I came in from a fun surf and found this amazing animation on Korduroy and it put a BIG smile on my face for the rest of the day. It touches those nerves that causes happiness.

Hold your breath

Leandro Erlich , an argentinian artist created this fake pool called The Swimming Pool, for The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan.
Two clear acrylic glasses about a foot apart and filled the space in between with water. The top surface is also filled with about 4 to 5 inches of water so that it looks like a realistic pool. Brilliant Leandro!!
We want on in our flat!
Wazzup dawg
Diesel is one of those brands known to do whatever they want and get away with it. You can say what you want about their clothes, but Diesel is ALWAYS creative with the right attitude in their campaigns. This latest ad for sunglasses is nothing short of brilliance. I dig the last bit with the dog barking…
Hello David.
Nice way to pull of a trailer? genius. Ridley Scott’s new film Prometheus.
Immersion
We went to see the yearly Tim Bonython Surf Film Festival last night. Packed and sold out as previous years. Crazy hairy waves and sick surfers. This year was no exception. The film overall was much better this year, editing, photography. Def a step up, well done Tim and crew!
An absolut dream is to sit on a boat at Teahuppo, the Godfather of waves, and watch the waves up close….but after seeing this I´m….. nervous about that dream. yaaah.
catch it next Thursday if you can as the tour returns to Hardboard Diggers.
Push The Button
I would have done it in a millisecond. Love how they´re so mesmerized that they hardly flinch or wonder if it´s real. Killer Viral!
well….I dont know

Came across photos by Li Wei. what the? they make you think a few rounds before figuring out how it´s done. Apparently Li Wei says that his images, often self portraits, aren’t computer montages. But that he works with the help of props mirrors, acrobatics, metal wires. And then removes the wires in photoshop. how ever he does it. Refreshing images.
sandbar for breakfast

Took a little trip up the coast this weekend with a few friends to catch some uncrowded waves. Blueys, boomerang, sandbar, boti boti. pick your break. unfortunately Seal rocks was flat. amazed by how clear and blue the water is up there, like surfing in a pool. Surf was good. water warm and everyone got to play. We stayed in a cottage at Boomerang beach, the beach I almost died at 4 years ago. getting into waaay to big waves. no near death experiences this time, although some of the heaviest wipeouts I´ve felt.
time to plan the next trip. yaaa.
Atomic; full of love, full of wonder

Just found these pictures from the “Atomic: full of love, full of wonder” exhibition by artist Nike Savvas back in 2005. Suspended bouncy balls galore, accompanied by electric fans to swirl them in wave motions. brilliant.
