I’ve been following this project for the last year and been looking forward seeing the film for as long.
It has been up at a few different locations and festivals for a few months now, but the official release is still not anounced.
Can’t wait.

Before there was Flower Hell, a project called the Style Evolution Project was started by Okar & Easlinn.
The Style Evolution project pays homage to the immense treasure of surf movies over the past 50 years, many of which are sadly becoming rapidly unavailable due to new video formats. This short film is a collage of wipeouts from 19 surf movies from 1963 to 2005. Support the documentation of surfing through buying surf movies!
